Well the exciting news is here. After a year of negotiating and red tape and lots of emails. We are proud to anounce that we have secured our permanent pitch at Inverness Business and Retail park.

As from Saturday 8th November 2008 we will be located in the parking area directly infront of Borders. We will be open from 8am and hope to see old friends and new customers.

We also hope to see everyone at this years Fireworks display at Bught park starting at 7.00pm

With this years porridge championship just days away Radio Scotland has asked Al to come in and have a bit off fun doing a cook off against a microwavable porridge product. Also talking a bit about porridge and the business.

You can tune into the Highland Cafe and hear Al & Bruce MacGregor on 92.4 - 94.7 FM from 13.15 until 14.00

Since our last update we havce been kept very busy due to various activities, Al has been interviewed and published in a german newspaper. Click Here to see it. We have also been following developments with the Highland Council as regards the Traders exclusion zone in Inverness, which seems to be moving forward.

There has also been an addtion to the extended Porridge Bowl family. Sammy (Marz's daughter) the ginger haired lassie who sometimes works on the trailer with us has given birth to child number 3. Mhairi Niamh Hallam (photos Here), finding a Porridge Bowl T-shirt to fit is proving harder than first thought.

We would also like to congratulate Dommie and Nige of Rainbow Hat on opening there shop in Laurencekirk.

To further aid in carbon footprint reduction, this year, we are offering a 10p discount when you buy your next porridge if you keep your bio-degradable spoon. This offer Kicks of this weekend at RockNess and will run all year!!! So if you manage to keep your spoon that long you will save 10p with every healthy porridge every time you see us!!

Now that the festival season is under way we will be keeping you regularly informed of where you can enjoy one of our healthly snacks. With one of our first events being RockNess this weekend so hopefully we will see you there.

All red tape and legalities now sorted, we will be up at the retail park from 2nd of January 2008. The pitch will be located in the carpark next to the new JJB building (MAP.) Until then you can find us at the railway station just of Falcon Square. We look forward to seeing you

New to our already tasty range of products we have now added THE YOGHURT BOWL. A small range of tasty bowls (still bio-degradeable) filled with a choice of toppings fresh fruit or Cranachan then smothered in fresh yoghurt. A light and refreshing snack for the on the move person.

Due to a bit of unforeseen red tape, our permanent pitch at Inverness Retail Park won't now be happening till the 29th October. Sorry to disappoint our expectant shopper customers, but good things DO come to those who wait!

The Porridge Bowl will be setting-up a permenant pitch at Inverness Retail Park on the 22 October. This is great news for hungry shoppers, but don't worry: we'll still be on the road for all our other events, brining you our award-winning dishes!

Our very own Al Beaton today beat-off some serious competition to scoop the Speciality Award at this year's Golden Spurtle World Porridge Championship in Carr-bridge. Al presented our ever popular Eve's Porridge before the judges who, like our customers, were suitably impressed.

This it the highlight of the Porridge Bowl's short existence, and needless to say we're all very proud of him!
