We are a family run business serving hot bowls of flavoured porridge from our funky quilted stainless steel trailer. We travel across Scotland providing people with the healthy alternative.
The products we provide are hot bowls of healthy porridge with a mix of toppings, varying from plain porridge to one of our most popular (and now Award winning) flavours, Eve's Porridge.
We have found during our time trading that porridge is good for people from all walks of life due to its properties (slow releasing complex carbohydrates allowing full concentration to be maintained. Complex carbohydrates also stabilise and raise blood sugar levels. Porridge is also high in soluble fibre, which means they release energy slowly. A bowl of porridge can provide all the energy you need until lunchtime.) It is also a good product for people that have special dietary needs , vegetarian, vegan & diabetics, as well as folk just wanting to try something different. With people now being more careful about what they eat and trying to be healthier, it is important to offer a healthy alternative.
As a modern business, we are trying to lower our carbon footprint by using completely biodegradable packing, including spoons and napkins - all of which will break down completely within a matter of weeks. The packing can even be taken home and disposed of in your own compost bin where it will break down even quicker. To further reduce our footprint, we try and prefer to use local produce whenever possible, this also help keep smaller business trading.
